Hospital Partners enables us to stay at the forefront of health care delivery, through important patient care programs, cutting-edge technology, and clinical research projects that lead to exciting breakthroughs in medicine.
The Hospital Partners program is a way for friends to support improvements at Stanford Hospital & Clinics through annual gifts. The continued excellence of Stanford Hospital & Clinics would not be possible without the generosity of our donors. The importance of gifts to Hospital Partners is part of our ability to advance our mission of providing leading edge coordinated care, delivered with compassion, one patient at a time.
Some examples of ways Hospital Partner gifts have made an impact at Stanford Hospital & Clinics:
Ophthalmic microscope - The Lumera 700 surgical microscope is the most advanced surgical microscope in the world. It is designed to improve patient care and outcomes for eye surgery. This microscope provides stereoscopic views of the inside of the eye for both surgeon and assistant. It is also lightweight and mobile, allowing it to be moved from room to room easily, allowing our ophthalmologists to operate immediately in cases of retinal detachment or severe eye injury.
Intravascular ultrasound device for cardiac cath lab - Partners funds were used to purchase a state-of-the-art intravascular ultrasound machine, allowing our doctors to better visualize arteries in the heart and optimize treatment of coronary artery disease.
Stereotactic Breast Biopsy Machine - This device gives women with abnormal mammograms a quicker, safer alternative to surgical biopsies. Using x-ray guidance, we can now pinpoint and test tiny masses at much lower cost and with minimal discomfort. (Stereotactic means using a three-dimensional coordinate system to locate small targets within the body)
