Our annual luncheon benefitting the Stanford Women's Cancer Center and showcasing the talents of celebrity musicians. Guests sit alongside leaders in the fields of cancer research and treatment and get to meet patients who have benefitted from these discoveries.
Our November 17, 2017 luncheon featured film and Broadway actress and musician Rita Wilson and Academy Award-winning actor Tom Hanks and honored Ellie Guardino, MD, PhD.
Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Darlene Love and friends treated attendees to a medley of classic songs including her hits "He's a Rebel" and "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)." A video series explored the paths to healing taken by patients of the Stanford Women's Cancer Center.
Grammy- and Emmy-winning actor, singer, and talk show host Harry Connick, Jr. serenaded guests with a medley of lively tunes. A vivid film delved into the Stanford Women's Cancer Center advances in research as well as its impact on patients and their loved ones.
Country music stars Trisha Yearwood and Garth Brooks crooned an inspiring selection of songs for the audience. Organizers screened a moving video tribute to Gwen Yearwood, a former patient of the Stanford Women's Cancer Center and mother of UOU Honorary Chair Trisha Yearwood.
Academy Award winner and UOU Honorary Chair Nicole Kidman illuminated how the Stanford Women's Cancer Center combines medical treatment with cancer research and prevention to make a real difference in patients' lives. International country musician Keith Urban offered up an unplugged and engaging solo concert.
