Support COVID-19 Clinical Care and Research

At this time of unfolding challenge, the Stanford Medicine community has reached out in unprecedented ways to offer support for the efforts of researchers and caregivers on the front lines of fighting the COVID-19 pandemic.

In response, we have expedited the creation of two newly established funds to aid in advancing efforts in both clinical care and research.

Support Clinical Care

You can support Stanford Health Care’s response to the COVID-19 crisis by donating to a variety of critical clinical and social care services for patients and staff. Gifts to this fund will help increase care capacity, create a safer environment, and support health care providers and related staff to ensure that they can effectively assist affected patients. Support for staff may include, but is not limited to, shelter, food, equipment and other provisions to assist them in carrying out their professional duties and ensuring their health and well-being during this time of increased demand and beyond.

Support Research

There are many faculty members across Stanford Medicine who are currently engaged in meaningful and promising research to better understand COVID-19 and other viruses like it by studying pandemic transmission methods, working to identify novel therapeutics, and experimenting with existing antiviral treatments that could be repurposed. We anticipate that this crisis will lead to the need for more research on many fronts, including developing better epidemiologic, immunologic, and economic responses to pandemics such as this one. A gift to the COVID-19 research fund will help advance the most promising and immediate funding priorities in this area.

Stanford Medicine is now gratefully accepting donations of needed supplies in several categories.
