Memorial and Honorary Gifts

It can be printed on programs, shared in online tribute sites, or shared by email.
HONORARY GIFTS
An honorary gift is a powerful way to express your appreciation for someone and make a difference. These gifts can be in honor of a birthday, anniversary, or graduation—or just to thank a special friend. You also can honor your physician, nurse, or caregiver to show your gratitude for the care you, or someone you love, received at Stanford.
DONATIONS BY CHECK
Please make out your check to Stanford University, and write on the memo line of the check the desired fund allocation. You may also indicate on the memo line whether the gift is in honor of or in memory of and the full name of a friend or loved one. You are welcome to include any notes on additional sheets of paper along with your gift to further specify your intentions.
If you would like us to notify someone that you have made an ‘in memory of’ or ‘in honor of’ gift, please provide the name and address for those individual(s), so that we can send them a notification letter. Stanford will not share the amount of the donation in the letter.
